Silent Gliss 7620 - 50mm Uncorded Metropolitan Metal Pole

The Metropole is also available in a 50mm diameter version. The pole still operates in the same fashion with gliders instead of rings to reduce friction and to avoid the technical problems of rings going past brackets and around bends. The Silent Gliss 7620 can be fitted to a wall or a ceiling and is able to be bent by our engineers to suit bay windows..

This product replaces the Silent Gliss 6140 50mm pole.

The Silent Gliss 7620 50mm Metropole is identical to the 7610 Metropole but is a larger diameter. The larger diameter makes it most suitable for fitting to windows that are high up where the size diminishes the effect of the pole, or low down if you want your pole to be bold and used a main feature of your window. It can be bent for bay windows although due to the radius that it needs to be bent at is more suitable for bays over 400cm or large gradual curved windows. For most normal bays and most domestic situations the 7610 30mm pole is the more suitable option. The 50mm 7620 Metropole is available in seven colours and has a large selection of finials. It comes complete with a choice of top fix brackets to fit the pole flush to the ceiling or to the wall. One bracket is supplied every 60cm-80cm and 10 gliders are provided per meter. The 7620 does not take any more weight of curtains and will not work any better than the 7610, the only reason for the increase in diameter is to make a bolder statement or to fit higher up the wall in buildings with tall ceilings. The 7620 is often the choice of designers who want to make the pole the main feature of the room.
